We're also pleased to report that Beryl Satter (left) has been selected as a 2009 recipient of the Rutgers University Human Dignity Award, sponsored by the Rutgers Committee to Advance Our Common Purposes and the University President's Office. The award recognizes "the commitment, passion, and tireless efforts of people who promote a diverse and culturally enriching environment for those who call Rutgers and its surrounding communities home." Beryl is being honored for "her tremendous work in creating and sustaining a more welcoming atmosphere for LGBT communities at Rutgers-Newark." She will be presented with the award on Thursday, April 16.
