The lovely, rising Dutch mezzo Christianne Stotijn (above, left) talks with me about her career and her ideas about music and we sample her Mahler Lieder and Tchaikovsky Romances discs, both from Onyx and both with pianist Julius Drake (above, right).  Miss Stotijn just joined Bernard Haitink and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Mahler's Rückert Lieder in concerts at Orchestra Hall and in a performance this weekend at Carnegie Hall in New York.
